The Sosuishi-ryu JuJutsu Kai (S.J.J.K.)
The Sosuishi-ryu JuJutsu Kai is the only association authorized by the Shitama family to award promotions in Sosuishi(tsu)-ryu Jujutsu. It was founded by the 15th Inheritor of Sosuishi-ryu, Master Shusaku (Shuzu) Shitama on July 5th, 1963 in Fukuoka, Japan. In fact, the 16th inheritor of Sosuishi-ryu Jujutsu, Master Manzo Shitama serves as the Director.
In 2018, Bill Kinkel and Bill Williams both assumed the role of Regional Directors of the Sosuishi-ryu Jujutsu Kai.
The Sosuishi-ryu JuJutsu Kai
The Headquarters of the SJJK is the record center for complete and accurate files of all administrative matters pertaining to and concerning Sosuishi-ryu Jujutsu. The files contain the names, locations and districts of all Sosuishi-ryu Dojo, Branch and District representatives, members names, grading achievements, etc.
ALL MEMBERS receive a “Certificate of Membership” and ALL BLACK BELTS receive certificates of promotion from Master Shitama in Japan as well.
Although many claim to hold grades in Sosuishi-ryu very few actually do. The Sosuishi-ryu Jujutsu Kai prides itself in maintaining quality not quantity.
