In December Sensei Mario Giannini was promoted to Nimokuroku, (2nd Degree Black Belt) in Sosuishiryu Jujutsu. CONGRATULATIONS Sensei Mario!
In November, Alyssa Funke was tested and promoted to Shodan, (1st DegreeBlack Belt) in Isshinryu Karate in the Children’s Division after a physically challenging test. Alyssa is one of our most consistent, and hard working students. We are very proud of Alyysa! CONGRATULATIONS!!
In November, Anna Rose Samoleski was tested for Shomokuroku (1st Degree Black Belt) in Sosuishiryu Jujutsu in the Children’s Division. After a physically challenging test, Anna passed and was promoted, making her the FIRST Junior Black Belt from the Seibukan Dojo in Sosuishiryu Jujutsu. Anna is also a Shodan (first Degree Black Belt, in Isshinryu Karate-Do. We are very proud of Anna! CONGRATULATIONS!
In October 2021, at the WUIKA annual Gasshuku Sensei Bill Williams tested before the WUIKA Board, and was promoted to Nanadan, (7th Degree Black Belt), and Kyoshi in Isshinryu Karate-Do. Promotions in Sosuishiryu Jujutsu
In October 2021, Sensei Manzo Shitama, 16th Headmaster of Sosuishiryu Jujutsu made the following promotions. Sensei Bill Williams to Rokumokuroku, (6th Degree Black Belt) and Shihan, Sensei Bill Kinkel to Rokumokuroku, (6th Degree Black Belt), and Sensei Rondy Angoy to Gomokuroku, (5th Degree Black Belt).
Promotions in Isshinryu-Karate-Do
In September of 2021, Sensei James Montgomery and Sensei Raul Jennings were both promoted to Nidan in Isshinryu Karate-Do. Great work from both of our most dedicated and hard working students!
Recent Promotions and testing in Sosuishiryu Jujutsu
In April 2021 Benny Burgos was tested and promoted to Shomokuroku in SosuishiryuJujutsu, and Sensei Roberto Cambeiro was promoted to Nimokuroku in Sosuishiryu Jujutsu! Congratulations to Sensei Roberto and Sensei Benny!
In April Sensei David Persaud was promoted to NiDan in Isshinryu Karate-Do, and later to NiMokuroku in Sosuishiryu Jujutsu. Congratulations Sensei David!
In April 2021 the Seibukan Dojo celebrated its first junior Blackbelt promotion. Anna Rose Samoleski tested and was promoted to Junior Blackbelt (Shodan)) We are proud of her hard work, dedication, and most importantly the fine young lady she is on and off the mat!
In October 2019, at the WUIKA / Tokushinryu Gasshuku and Shiai, Sensei Robert Freitag was promoted to Shichidan (7th Degree Black Belt) in Isshinryu Karate-Do. Sensei Rondy Angoy and Roberto Cambeiro were both promoted to Godan (5th Degree Black Belt in Isshinryu Karate-Do. Congratulations to all of our Sensei!
Isshin-ryu Karate-do Shodan Test
James Montgomery and Raul Jennings tested for Shodan, (1st degree Black Belt) on Sunday, September 29, 2019. Both James and Raul are over sixty years old, and are our most consistent, and hard working students.
We were honored to have in attendance to sit on our Promotion Board; Sensei John Ingram, Ku Dan, (9th Degree Black Belt) and Director of the World United Isshinryu Karate Association, (WUIKA), Sensei Cindy Ingram, Hachi Dan, (8th Degree Black Belt) and WUIKA Secretary, Sensei Robert Freitag Shichi Dan, (7th degree Black Belt), and Sensei Gina Dennis YonDan, (4th degree Black Belt).
James and Raul performed well, and worked hard from the moment they stepped on the mat, until the test was completed. Everyone in attendance was impressed with their physical skills, as well as their determination, and stamina. Their consistent hard work, and commitment to training and helping other students is an inspiration for us all, and exemplifies what the traditional Martial Arts are all about.
On behalf of all of us at the Seibukan Dojo, we wish to congratulate James and Raul on a job well done. We would also like to express our gratitude, and thank our friends and Sensei, John, Cindy, Robert, and Gina for another great visit. The hard training, quality teaching, and your continued support is greatly appreciated.
We look forward to seeing you again in a few weeks for the 2019 WUIKA/Tokushinryu Gasshuku & Shiai.

Sosuishi-ryu Shomokuroku Test
Mario Giannini tested for Shomokuroku (1st Degree Black Belt) in Sosuishiryu Jujutsu. on Saturday, March 27, 2019. Mario is fifty five years old, and despite a physically challenging test, he worked hard, rose to the occasion, and set an example for other students to follow! On behalf of all of us at the Seibukan Dojo, we wish to congratulate Mario on a job well done!

Sosuishiryu Jujutsu Seminar
On Thursday, October 24, 2019, Sensei Bill Kinkel, and Bill Williams were invited to introduce and teach Sosuishiryu Jujutsu at the 2019 World Isshinryu Karate Association WUIKA / Tokushinryu Gasshuku & Shiai. Assisting with the seminar was Sensei Robert Frietag, Rondy Angoy and Roberto Cambeiro. For photos of the event:

2019 WUIKA / Tokushinryu Gasshuku & Shiai
Weekend of Training with Sensei John and Cindy Ingram
On March 1, 2019, Bill Kinkel, Bill Williams, Rondy Angoy, and Roberto Cambeiro headed south for a training weekend. They met up with Robert Freitag and Gina Dennis, and trained at the Ingram’s Karate dojo. While there, they also trained with Sensei John and Sensei Cindy, and a few of their students in Sosuishi-ryu JuJutsu. The trip was a lot of fun, and we are looking forward to our next trip.
Visitors in January 2019
On January 25, 2019 Sensei Randy Cantonwine, and his students, Stefan Brown, and Rodney Meadows from the Rembukan Dojo in Portland, Oregon, visited the Seibukan Dojo to continue their training in Sosuishiryu Jujutsu. Sensei Gary Rohen, our longtime friend and fellow student joined us to from Virginia.
Keiko Hajime 2019
In November 2018, Bill Kinkel Sensei visited the Sekiryukan Dojo in Fukuoka, Japan.
In November of of 2018, Shitama Manzo Sensei, 16th Headmaster of Sosuishi-ryu Ju-Jutsu, awarded Sensei Bill Kinkel the teaching title of Shihan. Shitama Sensei also awarded Sensei Bill Williams the teaching title of Shihan-dai, and Sensei Rondy Angoy the teaching title of Kyoshi.
Also visiting at the same time were Sensei Tom Zekes-Crooks, Peter Williams, and Gabriel Dayeh and Wojtek Bagadzinski, all from Australia. Sensei Tom and Peter were both given the teaching titles of Kyoshi, and Gabriel was awarded Shomokuroku.
Shitama Manzo Sensei, 16th Headmaster of Sosuishi-ryu Ju-Jutsu and his son Shusaku Sensei once again, visit the New York Seibukan in April, 2018.
